Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Superquill website and app (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 and able to form a binding contract. Keep your credentials secure; you’re responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information, including a working email address.

2. Beta access

Superquill is in beta. Access is by invitation and may be granted, limited or revoked at any time. The Service may change, have bugs, or be interrupted, and features may be added or removed without notice.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

4. Your content

You own the speech and text you submit and the output you receive (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to process Your Content, including, unless you use Private mode, by sending transcribed text (never your voice audio or voiceprint) to our cloud AI provider, solely to operate and improve the Service as described in our Privacy Policy. You’re responsible for Your Content and for reviewing output before relying on it. AI output can be wrong.

5. Our property

The Service, including its software, design and branding, belongs to us and our licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it in accordance with these terms. Feedback you give may be used by us without obligation to you.

6. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties, including Supabase, PostHog, Cerebras, Vercel and Resend. Their services are governed by their own terms, and we aren’t responsible for them.

7. Fees and fair use

The beta is currently free. Plans and prices after the beta are listed on our pricing page, and we’ll tell you before any charge applies to you.

On the free plan, Cloud is limited to 2,000 words a week; on-device dictation is unlimited. With a Cloud subscription, Cloud is unlimited for personal use. We may limit or suspend accounts for automated, abusive or excessive use.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or to protect the Service or others. Sections that by nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits) will survive termination.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that transcription or AI output will be accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Superquill and its team won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Because the beta is free, that amount may be zero. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they apply only as far as the law permits.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. If changes are material, we’ll notify you by email or in the app. Continued use after the change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Superquill is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions? Email [email protected].
